Honoring the distinguished legacy of General (Ret’d) Try Sutrisno, a visionary leader who served as Indonesia’s Vice President and was a founding patron of the Pinnacle Club of ASEAN.
The Pinnacle Club Secretariat is saddened to note the passing of Gen (Ret’d) Try Sutrisno on 2 March 2026.
Gen (Ret’d) Try was a founding patron of the Pinnacle Club of ASEAN in 2014. He was a visionary who provided invaluable guidance in the setting up of the Club and was instrumental in its main purpose of fostering the camaraderie among retired military chiefs in the region.
Gen (Ret’d) Try was the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia from 1993 to 1998. He was a very distinguished leader of the Indonesian Armed Forces. Gen (Ret’d) Try served with the highest distinction and was known as an outstanding soldier and a gentleman. He was also very well-known and respected by his peers in the ASEAN military forces.
